Belgian fashion house, Ann Demeulemeester, recently announced a major change in its creative direction. Following the departure of Ludovic de Saint Sernin, Stefano Gallici has been appointed as the brand's new creative director.
Stefano Gallici, a graduate of fashion design from Università Iuav di Venezia in Venice, has been involved in the fashion industry for several years. He served as an assistant designer to Haider Ackermann and later moved to the Antonioli Group in January 2019. Following the acquisition of Ann Demeulemeester by the Antonioli Group the next year, Gallici has been instrumental in the development of the brand. He has previously served as the menswear designer for the brand.
Claudio Antonioli, the owner of the brand, praised Gallici's vision and creativity, saying, "Stefano immediately demonstrated a strong creativity and a clear vision for Ann Demeulemeester. He represents the DNA of the brand with an eye to the future."
The fashion industry eagerly awaits Gallici's debut collection for Ann Demeulemeester, which is set to be presented on September 30 during Paris Fashion Week. The appointment of Gallici signifies an exciting new chapter for the brand as it continues to evolve its unique and avant-garde aesthetic.
Signing off,
